Fish is naturally low in fat and cholesterol. The unusual and delicious flavour of this dish is achieved by pan grill/ fry the fish. This is mouth watering and light to serve in parties.
Fresh Tilapia or Sheri or Red Snapper - 2 pieces (500 gm)
chilli powder - 1-2 tsp
cumin,pepper,coriander,fennel,turmeric powder -each half tsp
ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
garam masala- quarter tsp
lime juice - 2 tbsp
oil - 1 tbsp
salt - to taste
For coating/ dusting - plain flour 4 tbsp
Oil to pan grill - 2 tbsp..
Serves 2
Steps to follow:
In a bowl except fish chilli powder to salt add all the above ingredients with little water and mix.Now the marination is ready.
Remove scales, fins and insides of the fish and make few slits. Wash several times then drain the water completely.
Apply the marination over the fish with hands. Marinate for at least one hour.Dip fish in flour.
Heat 2 tbsp oil and pan grill the fish both sides until golden brown.
You can also trim the fried fish and serve.
Serve the whole fish fry with sliced fresh cucumber, tomatoes, onion rings and lime wedges.
